Week 14 of my summer reading challenge (okay, I got a bit behind both in reading and in posting my reviews)
Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
I like graphic novels! A friend once lent me Shortcomings, which was AMAZING but then I couldn’t find any other graphic novels that even compared. Mostly I’m not interested in superhero comics and that’s what the graphic novels section at Chapters seems to be full of.
Persepolis is a graphic novel memoir about growing up in Iran during the Iranian Revolution. It’s a quick read and I definitely recommend it.

The rest of Satrapi’s are pretty good too. Check out Craig Thompson, and of course Art Spiegelmen. I’ve got a small collection of others, but those are the ones that stick out.
